Not Invented Here: A Great Idea
To quote Woody Allen: “Insanity’s always doing the same things in the same way and expecting different results each time.” Too often, we get so used to doing things our way that we can’t see another way of doing it – or even a need to look for a new way. Whether it is a business process, new product ideas, or even an all-new way of doing business, sometimes we need to look outside our existing organization for fresh perspectives.

A “Good Read” – The Story of Your Business
The ability to generate funds for your business stems from an ability to communicate the story of your business.  When telling the story, you want to write the complete version, but when it comes to talking to potential investors you will need the “Cliff Notes” version. Writing the summary without the underlying “full story” will leave gaps in the story line and inconsistencies which will leave the reader uncertain and lead to a poor review.

If you have ever been in business (or tried to get out of being in business) with someone who is a procrastinator, then you have undoubtedly experienced the “ripple effects” from that behavior.  Because everything within in a business impacts everything else, if a key person in the organization is a procrastinator, then things “just happen”.  Procrastinators disrupt and block action.  Procrastinators are not mere pebbles in the pond, but boulders in puddles.
